Next Tuesdays resumption of debate on the legality of the attempt by the state of Kentucky to seize control of 141 international online gambling domains (see previous Online-Casinos.com/InfoPowa reports) continues to generate significant interest both within and outside of the industry.
Judge Thomas Wingate of the Franklin Circuit Court, who had earlier signed off on a temporary seizure of domains through registrars at the behest of outsourced lawyers working for the state, faced a platoon of legal representatives from online gambling companies, trade associations and public interest groups supporting freedom of speech and the Internet at the initial hearing last week.
Lawyers for both sides argued legal technicalities centered on the legal standing and identification of domain owners and claims that the action against 141 domain names took place “under cover” and with no notice to their clients. They sought a continuation to brief Judge Wingate on matters of law which they contended will demonstrate the court has no jurisdiction and should dismiss the action.
Judge Wingate gave all involved until October 7 to submit detailed legal briefs on their positions and qualifications for legal standing. The judge pointed out that the case was a complex matter in law where decisions reached could set precedents and have far reaching consequences outside the online gambling industry . It was therefore appropriate that those with the right to be heard submitted their arguments for debate and examination.
However, the judge sounded an ominous note when he told lawyers representing the domain names at issue: “You are going to have to eventually pony up and say who these people are.”
In the meantime the judges temporary seizure of the domains remains in place.
The October 7 hearing looks likely to be even more crowded as opponents to the Kentucky states action, which officials have admitted is aimed at forcing operators to bar Kentucky online gamblers and pay unspecified compensation to state coffers, present their arguments in a case that is already attracting wide mainstream publicity.
The states lawyers, employed on a contingency no win no pay deal, have claimed that online gambling falls within existing legislation which prohibits gambling devices because domain names can be classified as such devices, a point that will no doubt be hotly contested. Online gambling is not specifically declared illegal in Kentucky, where Governor Steve Beshear has proved to be a staunch supporter of land-based casino and horseracing activity.
Among those who will have legal representatives present are the Internet Gaming Counsel, The Poker Players Alliance, iMEGA, the Internet Commerce Association and the Americans for Tax Reform, and it is understood that an open press conference is planned for the day before the October 7 hearing where a diverse range of representative bodies will make relevant statements.
The executive director of the Poker Players Alliance, John Pappas is driving the press conference and urges all interested parties to discuss participation with him by using the PPA website.

Location: Toronto

About Me: Iapos;m a Fine Arts/Art History major planning to spend the next [insert big number here] years in school teaching and marking papers (if all goes well). I write and draw to keep myself sane. I love cooking, snowboarding, and watching pointless action movies and anime with my girlfriend and roommate. Iapos;m also a bit of a nerd, although grammatically lacking at times.

About My Journal: I generally post writing, artwork, the seldom rant, and rambling about projects Iapos;m working on for school. I ramble quite a bit, actually, but I try to keep things fairly light-hearted (even if I am prone to cynicism).

What I Write: Itapos;s hard for me to say what genre I write because it spills out everywhere. If I had to put it in a label, Iapos;d say fantasy, sci-fi, mystery, and any combination thereof.

What I Donapos;t Write: I donapos;t really know what I donapos;t write, because who knows, I might write anything if inspiration strikes.

What I Read: Fantasy, horror, sci-fi, mystery, historical fiction, and nonfiction.

What I Donapos;t Read: Hard to say. Iapos;ll read anything of any genre, but Iapos;m just a tad picky about it. Though Iapos;ve never really gotten into chick lit or general romance.

Favorite Authors Books: Neil Gaiman, Laura Joh Rowland, Geroge Orwell, Charles Dickens, Oscar Wilde, Edgar Allan Poe, Ryohgo Narita, and lately Iapos;ve been getting into Stephen King and Haruki Murakami more and more.

Could I edit someone elseapos;s work: Yes.

What Iapos;m looking for: Anyone who shares similar interests, I suppose. Iapos;m not very good at these things. -scratches head-

Soccer fans,
I met with AllStars yesterday and checked out the facility to try to get all the details I could for all of us to make it an easy transition.
Heres what Ive found out:

1. The Indoor season is now only 9 weeks plus holidays breaks and ends in January. We can have a 2nd season if we want in February.
2. The Price of Indoor now is $795 per team that works out to $66.25 for 12 players. Allstar must have $400 one week before the start of the season. So $400 is due on Oct. 6th and a the remaining $395 due on Oct. 13th. They only accept 2 payments so you must pay one person on your team probably your Captain and have him/her write the two checks. They also take credit cards, but only two payments per team. Captains, youll need to collect the funds and send it to Allstars. We decided to go the cheaper route instead of 13 weeks. Allstarsfsec.com
3. October 13th will be a pick up day for your team. Youll be scheduled to play against another team, however it wont count towards the standings. Theres no trophy for the winners of the league.
4. The Field is AWESOME!!! I love it. It feels like a well groomed grass field, but its actually Field Turf. You can wear cleats if you want but I recommend wearing your Indoor shoes. If you dont have Indoor shoes and dont want to buy any, its perfectly fine to wear your cleats. The Field is so sweet!! There are 2 fields with Warm-up areas on the players benches side of the field. There are plenty of bleachers and tables for spectators to comfortably watch the games. The facility has games, batting cages, snack bar and Lounge, etc. There is also a small field to practice on if available.
5. Schinguards are required, NO SLIDETACKLING ALLOWED. Refs give out Blue cards for certain offenses which put the player in a 2 minute penalty box.
6. Games are 24 minute halves, they start on time, the clock never stops from the end of one game to the beginning of the next game. So be ontime!
7. Yes, there is a tournament included in our 9 week season.
8. We have 5 solid teams so far which means one team will have a BYE week or scrimmage a mix of players. Were hoping to get 1-3 more teams though in the next week so let us know if anyone else wants to play.
9.

Baccarat is an old game (The first official baccarat game is attributed to an Italian gambler named, Felix Falguierein. He came up with the game in 1480), one of the oldest in the casinos. There are many sources pertaining to it, but its true roots are indeed lost in the shadows. However - there is a very real possibility that it can be traced back to Tarrochi, a game that was played in the middle ages with a deck of Tarot cards. Another source conceded that it is based on an ancient Etruscan ritual, where a virgin threw a nine sided die, and, according to the outcome, it was decided whether she would become a priestess, be banned from religious activities completely, or be killed.
Whatever the ancient sources of baccarat are, there is no doubt that it is among the most played in the casino, where an aura of mystique surrounds the game and the minimums are kept high. Online Baccarat as well is very well populated in the online casinos. It is interesting to trace baccarat all through the years and to see the different variations of the game. While it was in France the game became Chemin de Fer. Which means and it is still played in this way to this day in France and Spain. In this way baccarat history is fascinating, as is the game itself.
From the internet revolution, the baccarat game took on a whole new dimension. Within a period of ten years, from 1998 to the present, baccarat went from a snobbish - exclusive game, existing only for those with money and prestige, to a game suitable for people who simply want to play to enjoy the game, without wanting to break the bank. As with many other casino games, baccarat is now a game that is available to any casino gamer with access to the internet, and thanks to this, its popularity is on the rise.

People joke about kids making that statement when they go as a family on a trip. We left Monday on a trip and it was less than 30-minutes down the road when one of them asked the question. I thought this was way too early for a five-hour trip. It became an about every 20 minute routine for them. It was sort of cute, sorta. They did very well during the trip and the anticipation of it all kept them focused with joyful anticipating rather than sinning their brains out.
Grandpa said we could visit with them at Hilton Head for part of this week. This is their week at the condo. It’s always fun to go down and spend some time with them. They arrived on Saturday. We arrived just after noon on Monday. We’ll leave just after dinner late Wednesday afternoon. They will leave on Saturday.
The kids love the beach. They really love Hilton Head. It is not as much about tourist as families. The modesty issues that we run into at Myrtle are a bit too much. At Hilton Head there are more retired couples and parents with small children. There typically, in the weeks we have visited, haven’t been too many young, unmarried people on the beaches. And in October the crowds are very small.
Yesterday we walked to the beach, which was a 30-minute hike, with three kids, wagon load of implements and shoulder bags. I felt like I was pulling a sled. Today I noticed all four tires were flat on the wagon. I was pulling a sled. We went to the convenience store and bought some air. The wagon pulled amazingly well today.
Tonight for dinner we had what is becoming our annual beach birthday dinner for Tristen and Haydn. This is the third year in a row that we have celebrated their birthdays at Hilton Head. I think that is correct. Grandma made a birthday cake for them. Haydn placed five candles in one side and Tristen placed seven in the other side. We fired it up and sang our song and blew the candles out. Haydn got a “shooter” type rocket launcher kind of thing and some connect type contraption that makes scooters, planes, monsters and the like. Tristen got a very large coloring page of some Disney princesses. There were four of these giant-size things in her packet. She also got a painter’s easel type thing with paints and canvass and more. She was stoked.
Ansa, not to be left out, got a very soft kitty. It wasnt real, praise God! She didn’t seem to mind if she got something or not. Fortunately she’s not too materialistic at two years old. She was enjoying her sibling’s joy.
It has been a tiring day. We spent 6+ hours at the beach swimming, digging, running around and more. The kids are doing very well. They are behaving, not being selfish and being pretty much a delight. They bring me much joy. Lucia and I are sleeping very well and enjoying the sound of the ocean and the sunshine. It is very peaceful down here.
I met a lady yesterday at the Bargain Box. She has been married for 66 years, amazing. They retired in ’82. I was just getting going in ’82. She was very kind.

Philadelphia, PA (Betting Express) - Philadelphia Eagles running back Brian Westbrook missed practice on Wednesday in preparation for the upcoming game against San Francisco. Westbrook, who has been hampered by a sprained ankle he suffered in the Week 3 victory over Pittsburgh, suffered fractured ribs in Sunday's 23-17 loss against Washington and his status for this week's game remains uncertain. An MRI exam on Monday showed the injury, which occurred in the first quarter. Despite the injury, Westbrook finished the game with 33 yards on 12 carries and a touchdown and a team-best six catches for 51 yards. In four games this season for the 2-3 Eagles, Westbrook has run for 194 yards and four touchdowns on 54 carries. He is also the team's second-leading receiver with 14 catches for 97 yards and two scores. In addition to Westbrook, guard Shawn Andrews, who has missed the past three games with a back injury, and defensive end Juqua Parker, who has a knee injury, did not practice while wide receiver Reggie Brown, who is suffering from a groin injury, had limited participation in practice. Wide receiver Kevin Curtis, who has yet to play this season after undergoing surgery in August for a sports hernia, was a full participant in practice.

My mouth is on FIRE! And I LOVE it!! It was worth it! It was so worth the creepy crazy old guy asking me creepy crazy old guy questions. It was worth letting his riffle though my bag. Don’t know why he kept looking over my shoulder though. Still don’t get why he kept asking me things like “So you really can’t see him…” And kept talking about magnets…I thought he was into peppers…not magnets. But crazy old men say what they want to say. I can’t wait until I’m old, so I can say crazy old man things too. Though…if you believe most the adults who know me, they say I’m not going to live to see 20, with the way I act. But whatever. Rather burn out than fade away.

And…it did sorta creep me out when he went all fortune teller on me and told me I had to watch out for myself on All Hallows. Chinen-sempai and I have plans for my birthday this year. He promised I didn’t have to stay locked up in my room to avoid all that stuff that scares me so much. Though I don’t know about the Lawn Gnoming of Hyoutai…Since I have a sort of acquaintance there now. I doubt Oshitari-kun would be too pleased with me if I did gnomes…So instead, I wonder if I can find any yard orbs… or maybe Flamingos…I might have to go and case the joint though. So I know where best to strike for the most notice/damage.

I don’t want to miss anything like that camp thingy everyone’s been talking about…but I don’t know if I’ll be going. Doubt Yamabuki will need it’s eternal secret weapon I doubt they’ll have any benches there for me to warm… It all depends. If one of my sempai asks me…or if Dan-kun asks…I’ll go. If not, I’ll stay back and hold down the fort. Someone’s got to.

Maybe I can use that time to my advantage.

multiple car family insurance for all the family members. Now boss is going to get a car insurance from them. They are having the best policies for our cars based on the worth of the car. My boss is going to get a quality insurance from them.
Many kinds of auto insurance options are available today. These include fire and theft auto insurance policies, fully comprehensive auto insurance policies, and then there are third party, third party insurance and specialized insurance for the cars. These are some of the common forms of auto insurances which are available but there are many new policies being invented every other day and hence offers should be studied carefully before finalization of the prices.
A lot of money can be saved in the auto insurance prices through free quotes. These quotes are usually charged for by regular insurance companies. But the online insurance companies usually provide for free quotes to all consumers who apply for the same. Through these free quotes the applicants can save a lot of time and money. Also these quotes help them to analyze the offers and prices of the different car insurance companies and select the best deals on the basis of these. But it should be remembered that quotes are not the exact prices of the auto insurance.
Multiple car insurance quotes are the best way to get the cheapest insurance deals available for your car. By applying for insurance quotes to different online companies consumers can avail different kinds of car insurances. These quotes are provided almost instantly and on the basis of these quotes, a comparison of the different prices and offers can be made. It is essential that the comparison of the car insurance quotes be done because this helps the consumer to get the best deal at minimum prices.

Its only been 5 years since this product was released, but the whole idea Upper Deck was shooting for never really caught on.  Every box of 2003 Upper Deck Classic Portraits contained 1 jersey, autograph or patch, 3 rookies, and 2 Hall of Fame cards.  The real interesting part about this product was that in every box there was 1 collectible bust.  These busts would be of current or retired players.  If you were lucky you could hit an autographed bust of a good player.  After 2003 you never saw this product come back.  Upper Deck did use the title for a few other sets but they did not include a bust.  Those contained autographed 810 photos.  The biggest rookie in the set is probably Brandon Webb.  I think if a company wants to include something like a bust in every box, I would stick with items fans are more familiar with, for example, baseballs, bats, and perhaps even bobbleheads.  I would love to see a product that features a bobblehead per box.  I wonder where Upper Deck even came up with the idea for a bust.  I mean there arent any busts of players in the HOF.   Baseball Hall of Famers have plaques.

Keeping in mind that Webb is our prohibitive favorite, we can take a look at the relievers and see if any merit further discussion. We can eliminate Wilson and his awful ratios, and while the two middle relievers -- Kuo and Marmol -- have done excellent jobs, they've done so for first place teams and nothing screams "special" about their seasons. Fuentes has done a stellar job for a bad Rockies team, but giving the Cy Young to someone with a single win and less than 30 saves doesn't pass the red-face test. As for Valverde, he has been instrumental to an Astros team that just won't go away. However, those ratios aren't good enough to warrant consideration. That just leaves Lidge, who has been incredible this year and big part of the Phillies' success. While I doubt it can be argued successfully that he is a better candidate than Webb, he likely has merited a top five spot in my voting, not to mention ZERO blown saves this year.

For the starters, let's eliminate the two Cubs -- Dempster and Zambrano -- as neither is leading the league in wins despite playing for the best team in the NL which is sad really. Next goes Haren because we can't even argue that he's the best starter on his own team. Next goes Billingsley because he plays for a better team than Volquez, but still doesn't have as good numbers. Hamels also walks the plank because even with the best bullpen in the NL, he's only mustered 14 wins, and in many respects, the "I've Learned My Lesson" version of Brett Myers has been the Phillies best starter (but his horrible start keeps him off this list). Sheets is out because his team scores runs and his bullpen prevents them, but he still has only 13 wins. Finally, Nolasco and Santana leave hand-in-hand. Even though they've been hard luck pitchers(a bunch of blown victories by bullpens), they're still too many wins away from Webb,

This leaves Cook, Lincecum, Oswalt, Sabathia, Volquez and Webb. Oswalt overcame an abysmal start this year to be one of the most consistent post-All Star Break pitchers in the NL. Cook and Volquez have awful WHIPs for Cy Young contenders, but both played very well for awful teams, but Volquez gets the nod over Cook because of the strikeouts (and yes, I'm penalizing Cook for lack of strikeouts). Sabathia has mixed stats from playing in the AL and NL this year, but has just eaten the NL up. Webb was phenomenal to start the season but sputtered late as he allowed 17 runs in a 3 game stretch where they were over taken by the Dodgers in the NL west. But at least Webb plays for a team with talent, as opposed to Lincecum, who toiled for a team many thought would be the worst in the NL (surprise, they could finish second in the NL West). Lincecum bests Webb in all sorts of categories like opponents BA (.220 to Webb's .241). And the fact that he has had 5 games which were blown by the Giants bullpen, only once has Webb lost a game in which he was winning when he left. Being able to squeeze 17 wins out of the Giants team, what really stands out is his ERA. It is almost 44% better than the entire Giants rotation's and he had a gaudy K/9 above 10.5. And to top it all off, the Giants have scored the fewest runs in the majors this season meaning horrific run support for Lincecum.

Paul Newman and Billiards

3d billiards, accessory black jack, bag tennis, adidas handball, arena football

We, in the billiard industry, are especially appreciative of what he did for the sport. Even now, almost 50 years after its release, The Hustler still captures todays pool enthusiasts and holds them in its' spell. Whenever we have the film showing in our billiard hall, people still comment on what a great film it is.

The Hustler (the film)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:

"The Hustler is a 1961 American drama film. It tells the story of small-time pool hustler, "Fast Eddie" Felson, and his desire to prove himself the best player in the country by beating legendary pool player "Minnesota Fats." After initially losing to Fats and getting involved with unscrupulous manager Bert Gordon, Eddie returns to beat Fats, but only after paying a terrible personal price.

The Hustler is an adaptation of the 1959 novel of the same name by Walter Tevis. Sidney Carroll and Robert Rossen adapted the novel for the screen. Rossen directed the film, shot on location in New York City. It stars Paul Newman as Eddie Felson, Jackie Gleason as Minnesota Fats, Piper Laurie as Sarah and George C. Scott as Bert.

The film was a major critical and popular success, gaining a reputation as a modern classic. Its exploration of winning, losing, and character garnered a number of major awards; it is also credited with helping to spark a resurgence in the popularity of pool. A real pool hustler was inspired to adopt the name of Gleason's character, Minnesota Fats, and to use the association with the film in his search for celebrity."

Even though the pool hall and the industry in general has evolved into a more benevolent sport, the raw basics of the game are timeless. The Hustler shows us the skill and the dedication to the game of billiards in a wonderful, but harsh story.

The Color of Money, the sequel to The Hustler, brings the sport into the 80's, making it more contemporary, but still not without the dark side. Paul Newman won his only Academy Award for his portrayl of Fast Eddie Felson in The Color of Money. The Color of Money brought a new popularity to the sport of billiards, and many famous pool players had cameo appearances in the film as well as served as technical advisors amd consultants.

So in closing, we thank Paul Newman for showing the world about pool and billiards. Without these two magnificent films, the wonderful sport of billiards would not have gained the acceptance that it has. It is truly a sport for all.

The quotes are just as powerful out of context as they are slotted in their correct sequence.
You gotta be able to live with losing, former Minnesota Vikings Coach Bud Grant said. s the hardest thing to get over it. You cant let it eat you up.
Grant said that during in the latest installment of s Game: Missing Rings, which profiles the 1969 Minnesota Vikings. That team won 12 straight games during the season an accomplishment no team had done in the previous 35 years. It led the NFL in points scored, points allowed and was the least penalized.
The Vikings episode appears at 9 p.m. (CST) Thursday on NFL Network.
Only the Vikings records and statistics fail to matter on the NFLs scrap heap of history. The Vikings lost Super Bowl IV to the Kansas City Chiefs 23-7 and are forgotten along with the rest of historys losers. Its a familiar tone with the Vikings, who lost three more Super Bowls over the next seven seasons. The Vikings best team in 1998, which finished 15-1 in the regular season, will appear on a future episode as well.
s Game: Missing Rings features five of the NFLs best teams to never win the Super Bowl. Along with the 1969 and 1998 Vikings, the five-episode series features the 1990 Buffalo Bills and the 1988 Cincinnati Bengals. The first installment, which debuted Sept. 18, showed the 1981 San Diego Chargers.
The s Game series ranks at the top of all sports documentaries, featuring every Super Bowl champion. If its possible, from the first two episodes, the Missing Rings might be better. These losing teams were even more colorful than most of the Super Bowl winners and their deficiencies were more pronounced. By the end of the episode you know the team is going to lose, but you kind of hope it doesnt. You ask the same  questions as the teams fans.
The 1969 Vikings episode begins with the Vikings transition from expansion franchise to NFL superpower. It focuses on the perpetual arguments between first coach Norm Van Brocklin and first (and future) quarterback Fran Tarkenton. Then both left, and Grant took over in 1967. He then brought in Joe Kapp, a Mexican-American, from Canada to play quarterback.
Kapp was all bravado at QB. He and his teammates joked about his throwing style, which Kapp said didnt include using the laces. He threw some passes that looked like ducks but they made it into the hands of the receivers, Vikings defensive end Jim Marshall said.
The episode deals with race issues from the era, which seemed to avoid Minnesota. It included a fight between Kapp and linebacker Lonnie Warwick s what Tequilla can do to you, Grant said. The episode documents Kapps seven-touchdown performance against NFL defending champion Baltimore and the ferocity of the Vikings defense, known as the Purple People Eaters.
The fierce Minnesota weather and Grants disciplinary style of coaching also was highlighted. But what everyone remembers is the seasons end, a loss to Kansas City. Narrator Tom Selleck appropriately describes the day for the Minnesota faithful:
A Viking hot air balloon lost its way, and careened off course. In the first half, the same could be said of the team.
Grant and Kapp opened critiqued the loss with pointed remarks on the passing game.
We didnt really have a sophisticated passing attack, Grant said. We were ahead in most of our games and we really didnt have to come back.
Our passing game wasnt good at that point.
Kapp said: I dont think we were quite as smart as we needed to be as play callers in that game. I didnt go to the pass on first down I could critique it to death.
The loss hurt the Vikings Marshall as much as anyone. He started in all four Super Bowl losses, and despite efforts from former coaches and teammates touting him as one of the NFLs best-ever, those losses tarnished his and the Vikings legacy.
Those were four opportunities that we had to prove that we were the best in the world, and we didnt do it, he said. We got beat and in some games we got beat soundly. You never get over things like that. It haunts me every day.
This series has possibilities for future episodes. Copy editor Sam Paxton, who follows NFL Films as closely as I do, and I looked into other installments of Missing Rings that could be just as rich as the first two episodes. They include:
1979 Houston Oilers, which lost two consecutive AFC title games to the Pittsburgh Steelers
1999 Tennessee Titans, the former Oilers that lost on the games final play to St. Louis in Super Bowl XXXIV
1991 Detroit Lions, a losing franchise that sneaked past everyone to the NFC title game
1980 Cleveland Browns, the best-known Kardiac Kids that lost on the infamous Red Right 88 pass
1986/87 Cleveland Browns, a team that lost AFC title games in heartbreaking fashion to John Elways Denver Broncos
2003 Carolina Panthers, a team that went from 1-15 to the Super Bowl in two seasons and nearly knocked off an NFL dynasty.
This series leaves you wanting more at the end of every episode. Its the very best of NFL Films.

In 1998, UAlbany finished with an 8-4 record and the defense was nationally ranked, allowing 7.83 goals per game.

Before his athletic career even began, Alexander was a great citizen of the University when he played a significant role in apprehending an assailant who held a UAlbany Greek history class hostage at gunpoint on Dec. 14, 1994.

Alexander earned his B.A. in English with a minor in history and also received a M.A. in education from UAlbany. He taught English at the 11th and 12th grade levels at Colonie Central High School from 2000-06 and has just returned to the school after a two-year absence. Guest post by SonicsCentral founder Kevin Pelton
It was almost exactly six years ago that I left SonicsCentral.com to join the Seattle Sonics Storm. I wish I was posting here again under better circumstances. Yesterday was the final day as employees for me and several coworkers who had Storm responsibilities through the summer. In a sense, its the end of the last chapter in the teams move to Oklahoma City, especially with the Thunders preseason debut scheduled for tonight.
Many people never get a chance at their dream job; those that do usually have to work for years to achieve it. I was lucky enough to get that kind of opportunity right out of college. Within my first year working full-time, the Storm won the WNBA championship and the Sonics claimed the Northwest Division crown and advanced to the second round of the playoffs. I figured Id hit the jackpot.
The ensuing three years have been up and down, to say the least. No matter what was happening on or off the court, however, I always enjoyed going to work alongside a great group of dedicated coworkers, many of whom never got the credit and appreciation they deserved for making Sonics basketball what it was to all of us. This is particularly true in the case of the Web site; the credit/effort ratio was woefully lopsided because my name appeared on every story, while the rest of our team my bosses Mike Bellerive and Ron Matthews, Web producers Nathan Affolter, Joelle Muchlinski and Tony Nhoksayakham, and WIRED department colleagues Jason Hanson, George Waterstraat and Martin Walker remained largely anonymous.
