As a keen amateur, my research into golf technique has led me to the conclusion that if you want more distance with your golf shots you need to look at 2 separate but related items - swing speed and making solid contact.
If you want to hit longer, you must know how both these work. The best golf swing tip I know is to be aware of which areas to focus on in order to improve specific key areas of your game. I found to my cost it?s no good just getting general golf swing tuition or a pro to give you golf swing instruction that doesn?t focus in on your specific objectives. Whether you are going for online golf instructions or local golf lessons, you need to know exactly what you want to achieve. In business jargon - be very ?target orientated? in your quest for golf instructions. Do you want to be better at driving, or do you want to know how a basic golf swing works? Do you want to know exactly what a proper golf swing is or do you just want to generally get better at golf?
In my years of research, here?s what I found gave me an advantage over my buddies. Knowing how to execute a proper golf swing is one thing. Hitting a long golf shot is another. You can hit the sweet spot 100 times in a row, you can get all the golf instruction money can buy, but the ball isn?t going anywhere unless you connect with sufficient club speed.
So what simple things can you do to hit the sweet spot with power more regularly?
For starters put these seemingly obvious golf swing tips into action if you are not already doing so:

1. Tee the ball higher
Most of us amateurs are needlessly teeing the ball too low. Either we have not listened properly in our golf swing lessons or we forgot what our golf instructor said because there was too much to take onboard in too little time over the course of our chequered history of golf swing tuition. Do this! - Peg your ball at least half a ball higher than the top of the driver when it's flat on the floor. Please purchase two three-quarter inch tees and then train yourself to barely push the peg into the ground. You will then be able to catch your ball on the upswing and raise the height of your shots. This will, in turn, lower the amount of backspin.
2. Don?t chop down on the ball
Make really sure you are not chopping down into the ball on impact. You must have a level golf swing. Work on this. A level golf swing is a result of a proper golf swing. If in doubt, get some more detailed golf swing instruction either online or in person. Several online golf programs are available to purchase if you don?t want to go the golf pro instructor route. The free advice online is often too limiting and normally is just a vehicle for upselling some other golf products. Golf swing on line tips can give some good advice, but sites can contradict each other on the same point, so you end up getting confused. Your best bet is to buy an online instruction program that is tried and tested and is geared towards your particular needs. In my case that?s wanting to be driving a golf ball further than my buddies!
3. Place the ball forward in your stance not in the middle
This one may seem a really obvious one to you, so apologies if so. Many amateurs incorrectly position either in the middle of the stance at address or slightly toward the back. This mistake exaggerates any golf swing problems, particularly hitting to the right. You have to keep behind the ball at impact something you will hear talked about a lot in online golf swing instruction.
4. Remove tension
This one, for me, is really so much easier said than done. So many golf swing lessons whether online or otherwise, are a bit glib about this point. It?s a real power-robber. I have to work on this constantly. Possibly my worst golfing bane. Here?s what I try to do to correct it. Hold the driver securely, but don't choke it with a death grip! Some golf swing tuition says to hold with fingers rather than hands. You can get good free advice online on this point if you?re are prepared to look around for long enough. The gist of it is as follows:- If it?s all too tight you are unable to "whip" the club through. Imagine the whipping action of a tea-towel on someone?s butt. A small piece of cloth can hurt. This is due to the speed. Same with a proper golf swing. Faster hands at impact is true for both tea-towel and golf skills, or so I find!
5. Drill your low takeaway
Here?s a real killer golf swing tip. The whole point of a proper golf swing is to widen the arc of your club as much as humanly possible. Why? Ever been on a kiddies roundabout? Centrifugal force is massive on the outside, but non-existent on the inside. There you go - the physics of the golf swing! It?s all about speed, man. The average pro swings at 100 mph. Tiger swings at 125 mph. Ok, us amateurs are never going to be Tiger, but at least it?s good to know the theory of what works! A good drill is to place a tee two foot behind the ball and then try to clip it before you begin lifting the club on the back swing. A wider arc also stops you topping the ball which is what I did consistently until I learned this drill. I learned it from an online golf instruction program, not from golf pro lessons.
6. Set the club at the top
Some golf instruction says ?pause at the top?. Other golf tuition programs say ?Take a shorter backswing?. These two things don?t add up. Myself and most of my buddies always took a shorter backswing - to be safe rather than sorry. Well I learned that you have to ?ski for fall? in golf in order to increase your swing speed and in turn achieve greater golf shot distance. To hit longer drives, you can't afford to ?hurry love?. The thing that changed it for me was when one online golf lesson told me to imagine at the top of the backswing the shaft of my golf club was a ?clothesline? on which I could hang my washing. That made me take a full backswing and just go for golf shot distance every time.
7. Finishing the swing
Many amateurs - me included - do stuff that?s pretty good during our golf swing sequence, but fail miserably to finish the swing properly. We end up looking like a beginner, not like someone whose just executed a proper golf swing. Can online golf swing lessons teach you how to finish properly? Well, I guess that?s down to personal preferences. For me, I like to come to grips with a problem in my own space and in my own good time. I don?t like the idea of someone breathing down my neck. So personally, I get a lot from the various golf instructions programs you can purchase online. Everyone?s different so each to their own. From what I have picked up from my favourite online golf lesson, I am trying to drill the following into my finish:- My knees must be touching, I must have my tummy button pointing to the target and my golf club must swing around my left shoulder. Good balance or not at the end will tell you automatically if you got it right.
8. Mental and Physical
Besides the various techniques associated with good golf swing instruction, there are mental aspects to adding driving distance.
You need to make a mental picture that you really mean business as you begin to address the ball. I am a karate blackbelt instructor and there are lots of focus techniques I could talk about. But the main one here is to ?Boss? the ball. In your mind, you control the ball and the space into which it is going to be hit hard and your trusted weapon is your club. There is nothing that can stop you and your use of the proper golf swing you possess sending the ball far into the golf shot distance.
To summarise, I talked about eight really obvious golf swing tips to put into practice if you want to increase your swing speed while still making solid contact with the ball. The reason you want to increase your swing speed is because science dictates you must swing with more speed in order to increase your golf shot distance. Good luck and enjoy your golf this weekend.

Are you too confused about weight training for golf?
There are many opinions in the golf world on whether weight training is beneficial or counter-productive to the golf swing.
On the PGA Tour it is a well-known fact that the majority of professional golfers are implementing golf fitness exercises into their training regimen. The goal of such golf fitness exercises is to improve their play on the golf course.
First and foremost, as a professional strength and conditioning coach on the PGA Tour, I see the benefits of a golf specific exercise program are well documented.
The confusion for most amateur golfers probably centers around what specific training modalities and exercises should they include in their golf fitness programs and what are the professional golfers doing.
I get a lot of questions on how are the professional golfers programs set-up, what specific exercises do they incorporate in their programs, and are the exercises in such programs similar to those found in local health clubs. A lot of people ask me if they should include actual dumbbell and barbell exercises into their golf exercise program.
The goal of this article is to provide you information on what the components, modalities, and exercises that compromise a good golf fitness program.
I will also provide you with a breakdown and sequence of a good golf fitness program.
First and foremost, I need to define a few terms to help you create an understanding of the basic goals of a golf fitness program. The main goal of a golf fitness program should be to improve your golf game through the development of your physical body. In order for you to meet this goal, the golf exercises within your program must develop the body relative to the golf swing.
At this point, I must explain a few things about the biomechanics of the golf swing. The golf swing is a total body athletic activity. Meaning the entire body is utilized to swing the golf club. Just as in baseball, you do not throw with only you're your, but rather your entire body. The same is true of the golf swing; you swing the golf club with your entire body. This in the world of strength and conditioning is defined as an "integrated total body athletic action".
The golf swing is easily defined as an athletic action incorporating the entire body to execute. Knowing this point, a golf fitness program must incorporate exercises for the entire body. A term we like to call "integration". Integration is the utilization of exercises that incorporate the entire body. For example, the golf swing incorporates a rotational movement of the core (abdominals, lower back, hips, and obliques). An integrated golf specific exercise incorporating all these muscles would be a physio-ball Russian Twist in which all these muscles are working in a rotational pattern.
This is very different than isolating each muscle of the core and training them separately with isolation exercises such as abdominal crunches. The point to be made is; integrate the muscles of the body rather than isolating each muscle in a golf fitness program.
Secondly, the exercises within a golf fitness program must be "cross-specific" to the anatomical positions, movement patterns, and energy requirements of the golf swing. Simply stated this means train your body with exercises that place your body in the position your perform the golf swing, utilize exercises that move your body through the ranges of motion of the golf swing, and develop the needed energy requirements of golf.
For example, a golf swing is performed in a standing "athletic position". Knowing this fact, it would probably be of greater benefit to perform a physio-ball squat rather than a seated leg extension for the golf swing, why? Because the physio-ball squat places your body in a position similar to a position in which the golf swing is executed. A leg extension isolates the quadriceps in a seated position, which does not train the body in an integrated movement pattern, nor in a position similar to the golf swing.
Cross-specific training results in a "transfer of training effect" onto to golf swing. This simply means the exercises you are performing directly affect your golf swing in a positive manner. One goal of a golf fitness program is to get the greatest amount of benefit from each of your exercises.
If you keep these two principles integration and cross-specific in mind when developing your golf fitness program. The choices made in the selection of exercises will undoubtedly be better for your golf swing.
Once these basic principles are understood you may begin the process of developing a golf fitness program. A golf fitness program consists of a series of modules. The modules are essentially different pieces of the program geared towards developing a specific improvement within the body. As a whole, the separate modules together comprise a golf fitness program. For example, flexibility training is one module that is contained within a golf fitness program. The goal of the flexibility module is to develop the flexibility parameters within the body required of the golf swing. Listed below in sequential order with a brief definition are the modules that comprise a comprehensive golf fitness program.
1. Flexibility Training: exercises to develop flexibility within the body required of the golf swing.
2. Balance Training: modalities geared toward improving your balance capacities in relation to the golf swing.
3. Joint Integrity Training: Exercises to develop strength and endurance in the joints of the body. Injury prevention based exercises for the shoulders, hips, and knees.
4. Core Training: Exercises to develop the required stabilization, strength, and endurance in the core region of the body for the golf swing. Utilizes a variety of modalities and equipment such as physio-balls, medicine balls, tubing, and dumbbells.
5. Total Body Training: Integrated total body strength, endurance, and power training exercises. Geared towards developing the needed strength, endurance, and power within the body in a cross-specific manner relative to the golf swing.
The most important principle to remember relative to the modules comprising a golf fitness program are the goals of each module and the order.
Training order is of the greatest importance with a golf fitness program.
Often times the golfer will attempt to develop power within their muscles before achieving the proper levels of flexibility that the demanding golf swing requires.
If you train this way, you will most likely develop power in the body, but you will likely not be able to use it effectively.
For example, if you develop greater amounts of power in the core region of the body, but don't have the flexibility to execute a full shoulder turn. The ability of your body to utilize your increased power will be less than optimal. I can't emphasize to you enough, keep the training order consistent as I outlined above.
Finally, the number of exercise choices you have in terms of flexibility, balance, joint integrity, core training, and total body exercises for the golf swing are too many to count.
There is also many types of equipment you can use for each component of your golf exercise program.
You can use stretch cords, tubing, medicine balls, dumbbells, and all other types of equipment within a golf fitness program. The points to keep in mind when choosing the actual exercises for your program are: 1) Do the exercises train the body in the anatomical positions of the golf swing? 2) Do the exercises take the body through the ranges of motion entailed within the golf swing? And 3) Do the exercises develop the required energy requirements of the golf swing?
If you use these questions in the decision making process of exercise selection, the final program you develop will most certainly be beneficial to your golf swing.

Today there are thousands of people who are losing their homes, farms, and businesses because they do not understand the meaning of credit. This article will explain the difference between money and credit and will show you how the banks create and pretend that it is .
There has been a monetary debate in our country for some time now and that debate focuses on two central issues. First that only gold and silver are Constitutional money Article I Section 10 clause 1U.S. Constitution and second that the dollar is defined by the Mint Act of 1792, and that a Federal Reserve Note is not a dollar. There is a third area that is not well understood, but which is very important. It is the most important issue of all because 97% of our money supply today consists of bank credit whereas Federal Reserve Notes and coins consist of less than 3%.Today every bank loan in the United States can be legally voided because it is based on credit instead of money!
YEAH RIGHT, you say. Well I have explored that accusation for over a year now and here is what I have found. One must ask the question, What is Credit? after all we throw the word around so freely today, but how many of us truly understand its meaning. Credit is the opposite of money. Money is legal tender for the payment of debts as defined by Congress in 31 U.S.C.A. Sec 392. This section basically describes all coins and currency issued by the U.S. government as legal tender for all debts, public and private. Many will argue that Federal Reserve Notes are Unconstitutional, but for this article it will be assumed that coins and paper currency both represent money.
Now lets assume you are going to make a purchase say for an automobile or a living room suite. You might say that your credit is good or that your promise to pay is sufficient. In other words the seller trusts that you will pay the money back. At that point you sign a loan agreement in which you pledge the auto as collateral for the security agreement. In other words the auto dealer has accepted your credit, your promise to pay, in exchange for the auto.
Ok here is where it starts to get interesting. Now consider a bank loan. When you go to the bank for a loan, based on your promise to pay and your good credit the bank gives you the loan right? The bank has accepted your promise to pay the money back, but ask yourself this question. What exactly did the bank loan you? Well, the bank will invariably give you a check which is also a promise to pay you so many dollars, with interest. What you and the bank have is a bilateral contract when you exchange promises to pay. In other words you have accepted each others credit, and yet no money has exchanged hands. This is an important point; no has exchanged hands.
Now what do you do with the check? Probably one of two things: either you deposit it in your checking account or you bring it to your car dealer. Either way, when the check gets deposited it goes directly to the banks bookkeeping department and the numbers from the check are entered into your account. Now the bank will say that its deposits have increased, still no has exchanged hands.
These bookkeeping entries are called demand deposits meaning that the customer can walk into the bank at any point in time and demand the deposit from the vault. In accounting terms, the money is placed into the banks liabilities column because this is money that the bank owes the people.
Now what do you think the bank has for assets? Well it has a small amount of vault cash which the Federal Government requires them to keep on hand and a whole lot of IOUs for those entire loan agreements people sign their names to. The bank is gambling that not every customer will come into the bank at the same time and demand their money in cash and its a pretty good gamble. All those promises to pay are on paper so also are all of the bank assets.
All this amounts to is a transfer of numbers or book entries from one checking account to another. The same thing happens when you write a check. Numbers called are transferred from your checking account to someone elses. When a credit card is used, bank credit or book entries are created and transferred to another person at the same time.
The next question is, if it so easy for a bank to create , which is used like money, how then is this , destroyed? The is destroyed when the principle of the loan is repaid. However, the interest collected by the bank on the it loaned, is transferred, to another account for distribution to its stockholders.
What happens is that because 97% of the nations money supply consists of credit which is all created by private corporations (banks), and because interest is charged on every dollar of used, debts are constantly created for which no money or credit exists to repay these debts. Hence our money system can be best described as a debt usury money system, for every dollar of credit which comes into existence, a debt is created to the banks and interest (usury) is charged.
Under our present money system, the Federal government will never be able to balance its budget and the national debt will continue to grow exponentially. However, every bank loan made in the United States today is illegal, since all bank loans are based on instead of ! The words ultra vires are important words because they mean that a contract made by a corporation beyond the scope of its corporate powers is unlawful.(see Blacks Law Dictionary)
The courts have consistently ruled that banks cannot lend their credit, but can only lend their money and that all loans of credit are ultra vires. Since no bank charter gives them permission to lend their , and Congress never gave the banks permission to create money, all such loans of credit are ultra vires or unlawful. The bank, by loaning credit, has unjustly enriched itself. It pays no interest for the use of its credit but charges its customers the same amount of interest as if it loaned out its money.
These practices are a high level form of loansharking. It is deception and fraud. The collection of interest on credit is in violation of all usury laws. After all, the bank is collecting interest on money which doesnt exist. There are many programs today such as a particular program which I represent, Debt Solutions International (DSI.) There are over two trillion dollars worth of illegal bank loans out there waiting to be challenged. A program such as DSIs is a much better alternative to bankruptcy since you get to keep your property and void the bank loans at the same time.
Anyone can walk off his property and let the bank have it, but to do so is to reward them for their fraudulent acts. It would be much better to sue the bank on fraud and usury charges and ask that all contracts which you signed on the day you took out the loan be declared ultra vires, null and void. That includes deeds of trust, mortgages, notes and security agreements, but particularly credit cards.
For a long time, patriots have been writing to their Congressmen asking them to give us an honest money system without extortionate interest rates and they have ignored us. I am not an expatriate, I still believe in my country, but our current fractional reserve banking system must be eliminated. If we do not do something our children will pay the price of inheriting our debts. I believe with the power of the internet, consumer education will become so powerful that the banks and the powers that be will meet their match. People will see that programs such as those offered by DSI and others are nothing to be afraid of and will become mainstream.

I STILL have NOT recieved my head cover a month after my purchase. I do not reccomend buying this product unless you are fine with not recieving everything that was listed. It is a great golf club and it did come quick.

How To Warm-up for Your Golf Game in 5 Minutes with Golf Fitness Stretches



It is well known that in every professional sport athletes perform a series of flexibility exercises and drills to prepare them to play a game. The game of golf is no different. Unseen to the general public, many PGA Tour players perform a series of golf flexibility exercises to prepare them to play golf. It is done prior to hitting the driving range or putting green. It is a process of getting the muscles and joints of body ready to swing a golf club. Most every golfer on the planet understands the benefit of a warm-up program to get the body ready to play golf or any sport for that matter. Unfortunately for us the time required to perform a comprehensive golf warm-up program with golf flexibility exercises is not reasonable. Not reasonable because of time restrictions on our busy lives.
For example, we set our tee time for Friday at 1:30. Our plan when we leave the house in the morning is "I will get to course at 1:00, hit a few putts, chip for 10 minutes, head to the range, and be at the first tee with a few minutes to spare". Unfortunately, our plans sometimes do not play out as we intended.
We get stuck with a client on the phone, a conference call runs long, we get stuck in traffic. Whatever the case may be we are caught rushing to the golf course, getting to the course with 10 minutes to spare, jump out of the car, tying our golf shoes, get to the first tee with 5 minutes to spare, haven't hit a shot or putted....Do I need to go on?
Probably not.
It is a situation that happens to us all, and I as am guilty of it as you. However as strong as I suggest performing a good warm-up, and putting yourself in the correct frame of mind for the round, life at times just does not allow us to do it.
What are we to do in such situations?
I first off would suggest not utilizing the John Daly "grip and rip it" motto if you get to the first tee without warming-up. I have seen this (myself included) lead to a myriad of problems from the get go.
I can remember a few years ago I took this approach and I think made a triple bogey on the first hole. My drive went left into the rough, second shot to the right, approach shot over the green into the bunker, bunker shot rolled 20 feet past the hole. Need I go on?
Let's just say I learned my lesson. First and foremost if you are caught in this type of situation lets not panic. Let's put a plan together to start the round out on the right foot and keep you in a positive frame of mind.
My first suggestion is not to rush and attempt to hit 3 putts, pull out driver take a few hacks, and then tee it up.
Lets take the 5 minutes we have and get the body warmed-up and ready to swing a golf club. How can we do this? Simply by putting together a series of golf stretches to "loosen" you up. Golf flexibility exercises will loosen the muscles and joints of your body. Preparing them to swing a golf club. They are simple to perform and can get your body and mind more ready to play than just a few practice swings with the driver. This will take a couple of minutes to perform, but it will help you get the body ready to swing the golf club.
Once we have got the body "loosened up" lets get the mind in the correct space. I have seen all too often the tempo of a swing is way out of whack when a golfer lacks the time to properly warm-up. Attempt to relax, take a few deep breaths, and get the body to slow down a little. This should definitely help create some better tempo in your swing from the start.
Also, take your time. Once it is your turn to hit, take a little extra time. Take a few extra practice swings, relax, find your tempo, and match your first swing to the tempo of your practice swing. This is a tip I learned from Dean Reinmuth (top 50 Golf Digest teaching pros).
If you are not comfortable over the ball, step away, take a series of practice swings until you find the "right" swing and then perform that same swing over the golf ball. It has done wonders for my game.
I would also suggest continuing to take extra time on every shot until you feel comfortable and have found your swing. This might not occur until the second or third hole, but it is okay. It allows you to relax, make a good swing, and make a good shot.
Finally, when you are rushed I think course management can really help. Think about it for a moment. Why not on the first tee pull out 3-wood instead of driver, even if it is a par five. Hit a nice shot into the fairway, lay-up, and play for par? Again, starting off with par or even bogey is a lot better than a double or triple, both for your scorecard and mental frame of mind.

Even though I tell students to be very detailed here, I always end up adding rules they didn't consider.

3) What Markets Will You Be Trading? This one is again very important as everybody is different in some way. There are 4 major asset classes and many markets within them. They all have pro's and con's but the beauty is that a set of markets like the Futures may be perfect for one person and the Stock markets may be appropriate for someone else. By knowing someone's goals, life style, account size, personality, and so on, it is easy to steer them in the direction of a set of markets that helps them achieve their goals in the safest and most efficient way possible. Also, within each asset class, the markets are very different. Maybe you trade the stock market and are more conservative and looking for a slower moving market, you would be well served trading the QQQQ but if you traded GOOG and BIDU, this would not work for you at all. In futures, the person that trades the DAX futures is going to be bored trading the Five Year Note futures. The point is, there is a set of markets out there for each and every person but every set of markets is certainly not for each and every person.
