Australia will receive 11 different D-MAX models, all powered by a 3.0-litre turbodiesel engine with 120 kW and 360 Nm (333 Nm for auto). Pricing starts from a very competitive $23,300 and goes all the way to $42,500 for the fully kitted automatic 4×4 LS-U crewcab ute. Instead of focusing on petrol and diesel, Isuzu will instead take a “boutique” approach and concentrate completely on diesel to build a brand image focused on reliable diesel Utes.

Despite being closely related to the Holden Colorado mechanically, the D-MAX is different enough to raise a few eye brows. Public relations spokesman Richard Power said unlike the competition which set a high recommended retail price then discounts heavily (hurting resale) Isuzu will enter at market rate.

Isuzu plans to sell 4,000 D-MAX utes in Australia in 2009, with that number climbing to 6,000 and 8,000 for the following two years. The ES is the no frills farmers ute, a single cab/chassis manual (only) which misses out on ABS and airbags, but instead comes with 4×4 drivetrain, seating for three, hi-ride suspension, air-con and 16”x 7” drilled silver steel wheel/245/70 tyre package as standard. The ES retails for $27,800.

The low cost entry model into the D-MAX range comes in SX flavour. Four SX variants exist and Isuzu believes it will be the volume seller. All SX variants come standard with ABS with EBD, dual front airbags, power windows with driver’s window one-touch auto-down and remote entry via a single integrated key/pad.

The SX rear-wheel drive variants (4×2) are available as single cab/chassis and crew cab ute. Moving up to the 4×4, choice exists between single cab/chassis and crew cab/chassis. Like the ES, the SX range is available only with a five-speed manual transmission.

The Tokyo based company hopes to build on that reputation but also has other ways of tempting Australian customers. The diesel powerplant offers the best combined fuel economy rating at 7.9 litres/100km, making the D-MAX 4×2 the most fuel frugal of all the 3+ litre entrants in the one-tonne ute class. The 4×4 variants manage at 8.1 litres/100km, the best result for a 4×4 one-tonner in Australia. Reliability should not be an issue but for peace of mind, all D-MAX models come with a three year/100,000km warranty and backed by 24/7 roadside assistance during this period.

Recently, several reports showed up, pointing out that Daimler is looking to sell its remaining 19.9 stake in Chrysler. While there are offers from several companies, Daimler is currently negotiating with Cerberus Capital Management LP, who, after paying $7.2 billion for 80.1 percent from Chrysler, is currently looking to buy the rest of the remaining stock. The reason Cerberus wants to buy Daimlers share is because it would allow them to be independent from the German company, without having to ask for permission for entering joint ventures, partnerships or even an outright sale, plus that Daimler would no longer disclose any financial information about Chrysler, which it now is required to do.
The negotiations were confirmed by both companies. We can confirm that we are in talks with Cerberus regarding the redemption of our 19.9 percent interest in Chrysler, Daimler spokesman Han Tjan told The Detroit News, while Cerberus spokesman Peter Duda said that the company hes representing approached Daimler about the possible redemption of its 19.9 percent stake in Chrysler. We are currently in discussions. Both companies announced that if the sale goes through, that doesnt mean theyll drop their joint projects, such as diesel engines.
While Daimler valued its Chrysler holding at 916 million Euros ($1.34 billion) at the end of 2007, after the loss Chrysler registered this year, the valued went down to about 171 million Euros ($250 million) at the end of June. Chrysler was bought by Daimler in 1998, for $36 billion, in a move that shook the entire auto industry and created one of the most powerful companies, DaimlerChrysler. However, things didnt work out as good as Daimler was hoping, the Auburn Hills carmaker losing $1.6 billion last year. In August, Daimler sold 80.1 percent of its Chrysler share to Cerberus Capital Management for $7.2 billion.

The Tata Nano may be the most expensive vehicle ever to be the cheapest new car on earth. Violent protests at one of the car's planned assembly sites have gotten so rampant that the Indian automaker is near a deal to exit the nearly completed West Bengal facility all together. Just a few days after a supplier CEO was killed by a mob of protesters, two body guards were also assaulted at the contentious facility. The controversy in West Bengal centers around the land that local farmers lost to the $200 million Euro facility, and with the building nearly complete, it's hard to believe that land will be returned any time soon even if Tata did abandon the region.

Word out of India is that the state of Karnataka has offered Tata Motors 1,000 acres plus incentives to move Nano production there, and the local media is reporting that Tata is going to announce plans as early as next week. We're not in the micro car business, but if we were, we'd avoid building them where there is the constant threat of being beaten or killed by an angry mob. Moving Nano production to a region that actually wants the Tata there seems like a foregone conclusion at this point.

If there’s one thing that can be said about the Volkswagen Beetle, it’s that the car is certainly not an example of conservative styling. No one is expecting the car to lose its distinctive shape, but what if the next-generation Beetle looked a little less like a plastic imitation of itself? According to Volkswagen’s design boss, the 2010 Beetle will be decidedly more mature.

Everybody who is reading this article, I am sure, has heard, or at least had the suspicion that the Internet is just full of charlatans, and scam artists. In point of fact, a lot of people think that every Internet business is a pyramid scheme, and at best a waste of time. Lots go so far as to say they are all nothing but rip offs. Then, there is people who are confident enough to at least do some researching, before they decide on whats going on. Well, I think this should help. First, lets get the biggest false belief out of the way. "Pyramid schemes" as they were once called, are now illegal and have been for some time. It has to do with them evading paying any taxes, as I recall, but they came to an end years ago. MOR Vacations, Team Diamond, and perpetual leverage, are not a pyramid scheme, nor are they even comparable to them.

This is a terrible way of thinking, though many people in society seems to have it. It is similar to a person getting robbed, and then not leaving their house, ever again. Yes, there are con artists in the world, and yes, some operate on the Internet, but that's only because every kind of business now uses the Internet. The reality is, that only a tiny part of the money traded online, has anything to do with any illicit behavior. Most often, the scams that are promoted are nonsensical anyway, and the majority of people see right through them immediately. I think we've all got one or two in our email, that offered something for nothing, and all, with a huge payout for you. Let's get this straight.... there is no such thing as someone giving something for nothing. If it looks to good to be true, it probably is..

What business tries to do, is make it, so when goods and services are traded for cash, nobody loses out. Of course, this ideal is not lived up to as much as it could be. The real challenge, is to realize, that amongst the garbage, and false promises, there really are some amazing business models, and great opportunities out there. One of the best techniques to filter through the real, from the hollow, is just to be able to verify information. First, get in touch with the person or team you find interesting, and listen to your gut. If they pass that test, then maybe do some independent research. It doesn't take long either. If it's a scam, it almost immediately unravels, and all scams can be illuminated as such, with just a little deeper look.

The other thing that makes people confused, is thinking business's like MOR Vacation's, and Team Diamond, will just make you rich, without any work. It's like I said, your never going to get something for nothing, and this is a business.... so do the work...get the results. Do nothing, get nothing. It's that simple. Is it for everybody? Well, yes, and no. Everybody can do it, but only the people who work it like the real business it is, get what they all want, and that is financial freedom, of course. Financial freedom, is also not about getting too rich to need to think about your money. It means being free of worrying about your next bill,or mortgage payment, and being able to fulfill your monetary desires..

There is, of course, another side of the coin. While focusing on avoiding scams, you could be missing real opportunities when they appear. It is just as bad to think everything is a scam, as it is to think nothing is. If you are smart enough to see an opportunity for yourself, when it arises then ask any chess master..... "you take the opening,or it will close and leave you behind".. Opportunities are like the sun, it's always there, but you have to choose to meet it half way, and go outside and enjoy it, or it will shine all day without you. You always have a choice. Not everyone is ready,or willing to go outside and soak in the rays of opportunity, though I really wish they were.

MOR Vacations offers a real opportunity, and it comes with the incredible help of Team Diamond, They are a bunch of already successful people, who just like you, were once looking for something to do to change their lives for the better, and they did. Along the way, lessons were learned, and mistakes were made, but you can simply benefit from those things. We will do our best to make sure you don't get stuck on the same problems we did. This can only mean that you'll have a smoother road to success. But, it does not mean that you won't still have to do the work. A team helps each other be the best they can be, but everyone must pull their own weight. You only have to take that first step, and commit to a plan that can, and will change your life.

It's a fact that the English language is currently being sliced to ribbons. Spelling and grammar have gone out the window, and elocution is such a lost art that we're amazed when a speaker can manage a paragraph. It's interesting to see where these shortcomings manifest themselves. One would assume that an advertising agency, being in the business of communicating, would double- and triple-check a message before sending it out for the world to see. Imagine our surprise, then, when across our digital desks slid a memo from Carmichael Lynch trumpeting the Minneapolis, MN agency's relationship with Subaru of America.

It didn't start well. The subject header of the email read: "Subaru 360 Goes Airbourn (sic) To Find Home on 10th Floor." Interesting capitalization, and a very creative spelling of airborne. Bush league for an agency that handles Harley Davidson, Jack Link's, Cargill, and Toys 'R' Us, to name a few. Intrigued by the mention of a 360, Subaru's diminutive first stab at automobiles, we read on. Carmichael Lynch, upon landing the Subaru of America account in 2007, located a 360 and had it spiffed up for display in the company's 10th floor lobby. While small, the only way to get the little Subie ten stories up was a crane, which hoisted the car through a window last Saturday. Delightful little story, and we were inclined to give the wacky subject line a pass until we read the last sentence, which started: "Today's Subaru Forrester..." Whoa. If we were SoA, we'd be incensed. Spelling bee time: Forester. F-o-r-e-s-t-e-r, Forester. Forest is a chronically misspelled word, but it's still intolerable when it's the very firm being paid to represent the actual product.

Well, now we feel better. Check out the pictures of the 360's crane ride in the gallery, and hit the jump to see the original text of the email from Carmichael Lynch.

It accomplishes this by allowing the supercharger to build its boost by 1,800 rpm, thus giving it plenty of off the line grunt. Then by the time the turbo kicks in at 3,500 rpm, the turbos full potential is released and the little 1.4 liter has been pulling like a jet engine all along without the driver even aware of all the technological communication that is going on in the process.
Another bonus of the 1.4 liter, is the pistons are so darn small, the golf is practically free from the usual vibration and buzzing that comes from small displacement four-cylinders. They have also added the option of a seven speed, that will take advantage of the gearing to ensure the Golf gets up and moving at a good pace and then can level off in cruise and gain some rather impressive mpg.
Even more impressive for the enthusiast will be the actual horsepower numbers, which are well within the 180 horsepower range in stock form. This means that with a little after market performance help, you could see numbers well into the 200s.
So to answer the previous question, can a 1.4 liter engine really be called a performance engine? The answer is yes, absolutely, without hesitation it can!
Performance
The 0-60 with the Golf will run you about 8 seconds flat, which is not too spectacular but its 137 mph top speed certainly is. This is not 137 mph with the engine revved to the point of explosion while going downhill either. Were talking a rather smooth, comfortable and rattle-free 137 mph.
Handling Characteristics
The rest of the Golf chassis is just as smooth as the engine. It has great handling and that world-class tight rack and pinion steering that Germany has become famous for. Power steering assist will keep you on the straight and narrow during aggressive cornering using its electric ESP perception, which monitors the vehicle at all time during sudden crosswinds or emergency maneuvers.
Interior
The engineering of the build is also top notch, with tight well fit body panels which keep the ride smooth and quiet, even over uneven roadways. The seats are comfortable and stylish, as is the slightly updated instrument panel.

XLR-V that results in a Michelinferno-inducing 600 HP in top trim. Unfortunately, that sort of output isn't available with just a few simple tweaks: A complete engine rebuild is part of the package required to extract peak performance from the 4.4-liter Northstar V8, and owners are urged to opt for the "highly recommended" brake upgrades as well. Customers not wanting to go quite so far can opt for the stage one kit providing a new air-intake system, reflashed ECU, "performance spark plugs" and a high-flow exhaust system, adding up to a still-healthy 525 HP. Of course, if you just want your base XLR to look like a D3-tuned XLR-V, you can buy body trim and emblem kits separately.

Some enlightened car dealers recognise where their strengths lie. They are good at delivering cars. So they allow me to sell cars that they can order then deliver. This strips away layers of costs, and creates efficiency. Car dealers have MASSIVE overheads, they comprise employed staff with as much drive as a Reliant Robin and are up to their necks in corporate bullshit. Car manufacturers in general overproduce cars, generate the corporate bullshit that suffocates dealers and have double standards. They want to shift cars and keep factories busy, at the same time protecting inefficient dealer networks.
Anyone you choose can drive this Land Rover Discovery, simply insure it and put fuel in it. This car is brand-new, but you are responsible for (usually only minor) servicing as required by the manufacturer. Full manufacturer warranty, so no repair bills! No MOT! Note some cars are not available to all users, due to finance companies playing silly buggers. I really try and avoid charging finance document fees, but sometimes it is just unavoidable. I try to treat you like adult not idiot, by giving you full information.

The WSJ reports that Towbin Hummer is the only Hummer dealer in Las Vegas, and the brand's biggest franchise in the US at least it will be until tomorrow, when the dealership shuts its doors for good. While Towbin will be the eighth Hummer dealer to close this year (equivalent to five percent of the brand's dealers), it's perhaps the most significant due to its location and place on the sales charts. After all, when you stake your claim on being the biggest and the baddest, and Vegas rejects you, you've probably hit the end of the line. But the Towbin dealership closure isn't just a bust for owner and self-described Hummer aficionado Dan Towbin; it's a big problem for GM too.

Monterey, 15th August 2008. The “Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermès”, revealed to the public at the Geneva Motor Show in March this year, will be presented on Friday, 15th August at “The Quail, a Motorsport Gathering” on the Monterey Peninsula. This show has become the highlight in what is a whirlwind of ten days of events every August, when car enthusiasts from around the world gather in Monterey to celebrate the ultimate in automotive design and engineering.
This unique version of the “Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermès” was first launched in Geneva in complimentary tones of ebony and étoupe and ebony and brick. In order to give the customer a wider range of options Hermès and Bugatti have developped four new colours schemes in line with the heritage and the values of the two houses. Therefore, the “Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermès” is now also available in these exclusive combinations : “indigo blue and vermilion”, “indigo blue and lime green”, “ black and garance red” and “Prussian blue and blue jean”.
The «Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermès” associates Bugatti’s technical performance with the expertise of Hermès and its craftsmen. In partnership with Hermès, designer Gabriele Pezzini has married the distinctive Hermès style to the legendary Bugatti Veyron 16.4, magnifying the car’s personality.
This remarkable car features an array of exceptional characteristics: the innovative alliance of a technologically advanced engine, delivering 1001 horsepower, with an understated yet uncompromising silhouette reflecting the high performance capacities of state-of-the-art engineering and design, and above all, the pleasure these inspire in every Bugatti owner.
The fascination exerted by this sports coupé, capable of reaching 407 km/h, is due in large part to its unique alliance of the very finest motor-racing technology with comfortable handling for everyday driving. The 16-cylinder “W” configuration engine is fed by four turbochargers and features 64 valves, generating 1001 horsepower at 6000 rpm. The engine draws on its 8-litre displacement to deliver a maximum torque of 1250 Newton-metres between 2200 and 5500 rpm. With full-time all-wheel drive, the car’s phenomenal power produces breath-takingly dynamic handling, with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 2.5 seconds. The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 benefits from aeronautical and aerospace technologies, making it the fastest production car ever made. The car also features a braking system designed to deliver unprecedented powers of deceleration, establishing a new industry benchmark. The carbon-fibre discs provide brake pressure of up to 180 bars, combined with eight-piston monobloc callipers and titanium pistons fitted with fine steel heads and ceramic heat protectors. Apply the brakes at speeds above 200 km/h, and the rear wing acts as an airbrake, positioning itself at an angle of 113 degrees in less than 0.4 seconds, augmenting the Bugatti Veyron’s already impressive stopping power. The airbrake increases negative lift at the rear of the car to 300 kg, enhancing the braking torque on the rear axle. At 400 km/h, emergency braking will bring the sports car to a complete halt in less than 10 seconds.
This, the world’s most fascinating car, has pushed back the limits of physical engineering to offer a completely new sensation for driver and passenger alike. But it has also adopted a radically different stance to that of other sports cars: its features and finish are sure to impress the most demanding clientele. Hermès and designer Gabriele Pezzini have lavished attention on the interior and exterior of this exceptional car, to create the new Bugatti Veyron 16.4: the “Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermès”.
A HARMONIOUS DESIGN, INSIDE AND OUT
The official name of the highly exclusive Bugatti Veyron “Fbg par Hermès” refers to the historic Hermès headquarters on the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, in the heart of Paris’s eight arrondissement: the “Fbg” appellation evokes the house’s “faubourg” address.
With the Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermès, the exacting standards of Émile Hermès and Ettore Bugatti come together for the first time, in an exceptional collaboration: the culmination of their extreme attention to aesthetic and technological quality and performance.
Gabriele Pezzini has reinterpreted Bugatti’s traditional two-toned carriage work, fostering a fluid, harmonious transition between the car’s exterior and interior design. The colour of the hood extends to the interior of the cockpit, and re-emerges behind, at the level of the rear wing.
As a tribute to the celebrated 1924 Bugatti Type 35, undoubtedly the most famous of all time, thanks to its many successes on the racetrack, the new Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermès features eight-spoked wheels in polished aluminium, central butterfly wheel locks branded with the letter H, and air vents around the rims reproducing the characteristics appearance of Hermès saddle-stitching. The horseshoe radiator grille, and the lateral ventilation grilles flanking it, are made from lightweight alloys with a design of interlocking H’s evoking the Hermès “signature”.
A REFINED FORMAL VOCABULARY
The inner surfaces of the Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermès have been designed and sheathed in bull calfskin by the Hermès workshops in Paris. The care and attention to detail observe an extremely refined, minimalist formal vocabulary, reflecting the tradition of the very first Bugattis and the fundamental design principles of the house of Hermès. The door handles echo the fluid forms of handles on Hermès travel bags and luggage.
And the dashboard, traditionally finished in brushed aluminium, is here clad entirely in bull calfskin. Passengers aboard the Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermès will find a dashboard glove compartment designed to hold a selection of small travel accessories and a zipped Hermès wallet. Both seats are covered in two-toned bull calfskin, and the panel separating the cockpit from the central rear engine – traditionally made of carbon fibre- is covered in the same fine leather. The leather-lined trunk holds a specially-fitted “Toile H” and leather case, hand-made by the craftmen from the Hermès workshops.
This exceptional car is priced at 1.55 million Euros (not including taxes) and is available at the end of 2008.

Produced by Audi in 1998 the TT is a sports car that goes back all the way to 1994 when the main idea was developed at the Audi design Center in California. The name of a car came to be because of the successful of NSU and DKW in the British "tourist trophy" -- During that time the vehicle was introduced as a concept model because it had a futuristic design, uninterrupted lines and one simply not the car you would see on a daily basis.
Even though the concept for this vehicle was put together in the US it is currently being produced in Hungary and it is available as a 2+2 coupe or as they two-seater roadster. There have been two generations of this vehicle, the second was obviously an improvement from the previous one.
Audi TT first-generation
The first vehicle in this line was launched as a coupe in 1998 and one year later (1999) was launched as a roadster, the only difference between the actual version and the concept vehicle an improved bumper and an additional quarterlight window. This first-generation TT was based on the Volkswagen group A4 platform which featured a 1.8L turbo engine and a 3.2L for the VR6 version.
This first generation was available in four transmission speeds, a five and six speed manual, a six speed automatic and a six speed DSG. When it comes to the wheelbase it featured 95.4 inch wheels and the Quattro version had a slightly bigger size at 95.6 inches. When it comes to fuel capacity it was a will in 55L.
Audi TT second-generation
First shown in 2006 at the Tokyo motor show the second-generation TT featured a shooting brake two door hatchback body style, this design impressed many enthusiasts who desired a futuristic yet stylish sports vehicle. The second-generation TT was constructed of aluminum in the front and steel in the back in order to increase its stability.
This version was available in front or four-wheel drive, it is based on the Volkswagen group A5 platform and is also available as a 2.0L turbo and as a 3.2L for the VR6 version; it featured a six speed manual transmission and was also available as a six speed DSG. The wheelbase increased by a couple of inches from its predecessor (first generation), it went from a max of 95.6 inches all the way to 97.2 inches.
In addition, there have been other models for those who look for performance and also for those who prefer fuels such as diesel (European market) and pay attention to the mileage per gallon which is currently at 44.4 for the coupe variant according to Audi.

To celebrate it's 10th anniversary in India, Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) is planning to do an 'Endurance Drive' from Delhi to Paris next month. Hyundai has chose the i10 1.2 Kappa as the vehicle of choice for this great trans-continent trip, which makes me wonder, is this a celebration drive or a PR stunt for promoting the i10 as it is not the most perfect vehicle to do this route in. Hyundai will want to showcase the reliability of the i10 via this endurance drive. The 9122 km endurance drive will start from Delhi on September 9 and go through 11 countries including Turkey, Italy and Germany to reach the final destination Paris on September 28. Hyundai ofcourse doesn't plan to do the whole stretch from Delhi-Paris in one car. Two i10 (Kappa) cars will be driven on the Indian leg between Delhi and Chennai, while left-hand drive versions will be used for the European leg. Two left hand drive cars will be air lifted to Turkey for this. There will also be complete service backup trailing the i10 which will be driven by motoring journalists from India. That sounds like a great driving holiday, Hyundai, sign me up too.

The Volkswagen Gol is one Volkswagen that is sold mainly in Brazil and some other markets where it is known as the Volkswagen Pointer.
Its a relatively low-cost car of sorts, heavily localised in design like how the Volkswagen Lavida was conceptualized for the Chinese market. In fact it would not be entirely off target to call this new third generation Volkswagen Gol a hatch version of the Chinese Lavida, since they are both based off the PQ34 Volkswagen Polo platform.
This new third generation Volkswagen Gol looks like a Scirocco with four doors, with some elements from the new Tiguan thrown into the mix. It measures 3900mm long, 1660mm wide and 1450mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2470mm. Luggage space in the boot comes up to 285 liters. It has quite a budget interior, to the point that its meter panel excludes an RPM meter, but a temperature gauge is retained.
Two engines are available, a 1 liter and a 1.6 liter from the EA111 family. They are tuned for city driving, which means lots of torque low in the rev range. The 1.0 liter engine puts out 95Nm of torque at 3,850rpm, which is close to the 100Nm per liter ratio and nearly 1,000rpm lower than the usual peak torque point. If ethanol (it is Brazil after all) is used as fuel, you get 104Nm, more than the 100Nm per liter ratio. Peak power of 72hp (76 for ethanol) kicks in at 5,250rpm. Its decent power for a car that weighs 934kg.
The 1.6 liter is also very torquey at low RPMs, offering 154Nm at 2,500rpm with petrol fuel! With ethanol you get an additional 2Nm of torque at the same peak point. Peak horsepower is 101hp at 5,250rpm, with an additional 3 if you use ethanol.

Honoring our VWVortex.com customers, Vivid Racing strapped down this Volkswagen Golf MKV with some great bolt ons.  The car had a front mount intercooler, turbo back exhaust, water meth injection, intake, charge pipes, and REVO flash.  The 2.0T ran on our Mustang Dyno in FWD mode making around 205 wheel horsepower on our reality check machine.  With close to 240ft/lbs of torque, the car at 18psi ran very well.  It was on par with our Project Audi A3 car which made about 210HP and 240TQ.
